LDPA Update: Pool/BBQ Area

You may remember that in its 2024 budget, the state government allocated $40,000 “as a contribution towards the improvement of integration between existing pool, playground, toilet and BBQ amenities within the Lilydale township.”

Yesterday, representatives of the LDPA met with a City of Launceston representative to discuss how this funding will be allocated. We discussed signage so that people know the BBQ is there, better access to the BBQ, including wheelchair access from the pool, and a picnic table and extra seating near the BBQ. We agreed that it was desirable for the community to have direct access to the BBQ through the pool area when the pool is open.

We feel it is important to have as much community input as possible into decisions such as this. What would be your priorities?
