How to advertise in the Lilydale Progressive
The Lilydale Progressive is run for the community, by the community. By advertising, you showcase your business and its contribution to our community. You also enable us to continue to produce the Progressive as a free publication, featuring all that we have to offer within this wonderful community we call home. Thank you for your ongoing support!
Note that the General Advertising Rate Card applies to once only ads or ads which run for a limited time. We encourage advertisers to advertise in every issue and so qualify for our special 20% Legacy Discount Rate – see the separate Legacy Discount Rate Card below.
Have a story to share? Whether it’s a community event, a personal achievement, a recipe, or a letter to the editor, we welcome your contributions to the Lilydale Progressive! Submit your articles, photos, or other content using the form below. You can also upload files directly for us to consider in the next issue.
Your voice matters, and together we can keep the community informed and connected.
Please note: All photos should be supplied at 200dpi medium to high resolution. We would also appreciate if you’d let us know who to credit as photographer, and a short description should accompany each photo.

The stall fee includes public liability insurance coverage EXCEPT for stalls selling food – which are expected to have their own insurance – and other specific exemptions which can be advised when you book.
STALL SIZES:
Each regular indoor space fits a standard trestle table (approx 1.8m wide) and is about 2m deep. How the space is set up and used is up to the stallholder. For example, racks or alternative forms of display are fine, provided they fit within the designated space.
Each half-size space fits our provided half-size table (approx 86cm wide) and is about 2m deep.
Each outdoor space fits a 3m x 3m gazebo (gazebo not supplied). Please leave a note in the comments section of the application if you have a food truck and not a gazebo stall.
WHAT WE PROVIDE:
We provide regular trestle tables for an additional $5 hire fee per table. This fee is waived for NDIS recipients and Pensioner Concession Card holders.
We provide chairs at no additional cost.
Power supply is available to indoor and outdoor stallholders at no additional cost (electrical items must be tested and tagged as per the the national AS/NZS 3760:2022 Standard).
The Lilydale Memorial Hall has toilet facilities, wheelchair access, and access to hot drinks station for stallholders.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:
Stallholders will need to bring a cash float for change (EFTPOS payment facilities are optional but highly encouraged – Square is very easy to set up, please reach out if you need a hand with this), a table if not hiring one, a floor-length tablecloth (required), display items, signage, business cards if available, and a friendly smile!
Outdoor stallholders will need to supply their own gazebo if required, including appropriate leg weights, as we do not have a gazebo hire option.
For musicians and performers
We welcome musicians and performers to showcase their talent during the market. Here’s what you need to know:
Performance details:
240V power is supplied. Musicians will need to bring their own equipment, such as music stands, microphones, amplifiers (if required), their own chair (if a standard chair is unsuitable).
Performances are offered in two time-slots; 10am until 12 and then 12 until 2pm.
Performer fees:
Performers receive a $50 donation (total) for each 2 hour session as a token of appreciation to help with costs etc. Performers are also welcome to put out a collection container for busking donations.
Where to perform:
Performers will be located outdoors either at the front or side of the Lilydale Memorial Hall. A gazebo and power source will be provided. Seating and tables are provided for patrons to sit and enjoy the entertainment.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Lilydale Village Market!
Organise an event at the Memorial Hall
Bookings aren’t open through this site just yet… but we’re working on it!
We’re currently working behind the scenes to make the Lilydale Memorial Hall more accessible for local events through a lease from the City of Launceston to the Lilydale District Progress Association (LDPA). We hope that soon you’ll be able to find all the information you need right here, including how to check availability and submit a booking request. At the moment, a realistic timeline seems to be from July 2025.
We can’t wait to help bring your event to life in the heart of Lilydale. In the meantime, keep an eye on this page or follow us on social media for updates.
