Lalla Colline vineyard and cellar door
In 1928 upon Brown Mountain in northeast Tasmania, there was a small church. The Congregation so disliked their minister they took the church off him. Placing the church on a bullock sled, they moved it down the mountain to this property at Lalla, re-opening in 1930 as the Lalla Presbyterian Church. This same small church re-opened in 2022 as the Lalla Colline Vineyard Cellar Door.
Just 27 minutes and a beautiful country drive from Launceston, Lalla Colline Cellar Door is perched high amongst the vines on the foothills of Brown Mountain, with views of the Pipers River valley and Lalla Flower Farm (formerly the Wag Walker Rhododendron Gardens).
Please note at certain times we get very busy – to avoid disappointment please book ahead for tastings.
